John Dawes
Dr John Dawes has an extensive background in sales and
marketing, combining a comprehensive understanding of
industry issues with a strong research perspective.
His area of expertise is pricing. John's experience is widely
recognized, and he is frequently quoted in major
publications, including the Journal of Marketing Management,
the Journal of Financial Services Marketing and Marketing
Bulletin. As well as appearing in academic journals, John
often contributes to industry magazine B&T Weekly.
Producing useful, interpretable and actionable research is
John's strongpoint which is demonstrated in his work on:
- the effects of pricing & promotions on sales,
- market structure and brand performance measures, and
- the advance identification of defectors in
subscription-type markets.
John has been involved in designing and implementing research
systems for several large Australian corporations.
